AM/AA Education Program Information:

The education program is concerned with raising HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention and social concern. The program maintains and updates a library of HIV related materials, including periodicals, brochures, newsletters, books, and audio and video tapes.

Information relating to HIV infection and transmission, as well as crisis intervention, is also available to the general public Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., through our toll free Hotline: 574-287-8888 in St. Joseph Co. or 1-800-388-AIDS. Additional activities are also provided through a number of programs, committees, and coalitions.

HIV Prevention Education is available to schools, churches, drug treatment facilities and youth groups. If you would like to schedule an HIV Prevention Education presentation, please contact Latorya Greene at 574-234-2870.

Training for the Teen Peer Educator Program is available. Please contact Rene Hampton at 574-234-2870, if interested in participating.

We also provide information on: Risk behaviors in transmission, Reading Materials and videos relevant to HIV/AIDS, and Articles/materials regarding HIV drug therapies.

Remember that the key to the prevention of this disease is a thorough understanding of its nature and means of transmission. Here are some links that might help:
